    I have a website that a client wants me to Analyze, and report back to him on what needs doing to the site to getting high in the ranks of the search engines.

    I know google analysts is one of the effective ways to check as you can put the code into the site. However due to the site is not mine how can you perform a professional report.

    I do not want a company to provide me a report, I would like advice on how to perform it myself.

    you need to use some king of online tools to check that site and also you need to use some other companies report to develop your custom report.
