I have one question that how rss submission is useful for sites? plz tell me the importance of rss submission at SEO and SEM point of view. Could I generate relevant traffic from this.
Of course you can. The thing is that when you have a blog, an RSS Feed can automatically message all of your readers that you have posted a new article in your blog. Which is very advantageous because all you do is sit tight and wait for you readers to come back and read another of your article. However, if you didn't have an RSS Feed, you would have to email all your readers that you have posted a new article and it is now available for them to go read. Now imagine doing that if you have 2000 readers subscribe (what would SEOMoz.org do? they have close to 100,000 subscribers!), it would be almost impossible and very tiring and extremely time consuming. This is why RSS Feeds are very important. Another thing is, make sure that you always keep you content updated. Write new articles weekly (even daily if possible), remember to write about things that people want to hear. People will get bored to read stuff that they have already heard about or that they could easily find on the internet. Be unique and write new and fresh content. Stay the most relevant to your everyday business. If you fail to do so, your readers will unsubscribe themselves from your RSS Feed because it could get quite annoying to receive emails about articles or posts that you already heard about. Hope my explanation shed some light on your issue. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
I have done free rss submission for a few months, but I don't know how to measure the result actually, besides direct traffic from submission websites.
To know if your campaign get positive or negative result to your page requires online service or tools like Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, Google Adwords, etc.
having rss feed helps to notify your readers or followers about the recent updates on your website. to make the most out of it, try to submit your feed to some rss directory sites too
You can create a large amount of content for your site. Take a look at www.feeds2mysql.com and see what you can do with RSS feeds and how to include them uniquely into your website.
This can boost the website traffic about 5% to 10%.. When RSS feed is syndicated it drives the back links to the original website.. One way to remain competitive would be the RSS feeds.. But it’s difficult to track the number of subscribers who read an RSS feed accurately..
rss is huge for seo. If your blog/site is barfing out rss feed regularly google will index more pages, crawl deeper, and rank you higher -> give you more traffic. YAY RSS
Yes, these are very useful. Whenever users want to see the updates in your site, they will subscribe the rss of your site & whenever you will update your site they will get message automatically about that update.
RSS submissions are great for SEO purposes. I have submitted most of my blogs to many RSS directories and the traffic coming from them in negligible. But they do help in getting your posts indexed quickly if you submit to some popular ones.
