You have to be crazy to believe that nut. That guy is just another idiot who couldn't get good rankings in google so decides to make a fool of himself. You guys would believe anything wouldn't you?

    Take a look at: http://www.google-watch-watch.org/
    google-watch.org guy is a loser.

Want to know who the privacy issue is? When the government COMMANDED the search engines to hand over user search records GOOGLE WAS THE ONLY SEARCH ENGINE WHO SAID NO. YAHOO AND MSN gave it over. Now who is giving away your privacy? It isn't google.

    Google have admitted -
1 / Co-operation with the government of China in active censorship. Try search terms such as 'democracy', or 'tianamen square' in Google China & see what you get.
Are you really so naive to think that Google would defend free speech & thought if under new legislation they could be accused of aiding 'the terrists' if they refused to hand over citizens search data?
Google actively supply data to various alphabet government agencies through proxies.
The origins of Google technology is highly suspect.
The origin of the internet is military. They invented it - they own it!

I really doubt that someone of the mindset of not getting a good PR would go to such trouble to ask legitimate questions. Frankly that is a pathetic argument.
Google is, (or increasingly was), a wonderful resource. Their corporate maxim of 'Dont be evil' should be taken with several terrabytes of salt.

the democracy and tianamen square search queries are rather interesting. Of course normal google.com (instead of .cn) is hardly affected at all. The chinese gov just blocks specific sites (like wikipedia). I havent tried doing a query on google.com and google.cn using the chinese characters for democracy and tianamen square, that could be interesting.

Well, if G is a part of NSA they didnt have to hand over the records...

By the way, its a long time since Google admitted censoring chinese users, nothing new there.

Scroogle's original mission was to point out dampening problems with Google's serps. One man's loser is another's hero... Daniel may have been onto something about PageRank and deep page results... read about the Google 302 hijack issue. Here's more on Scroogle: http://www.webpronews.com/insiderreports/searchinsider/wpn-49-20031223WhyGoogleBlockedScroogle.html
Well, only Brazil. That we know of. So far.

So what is everyone going to stop using google products and google search? Ohh and that means no seo for google either. Sounds good for me so far.
I would sooner trust Google than many of the other agencies and companies that people trust everyday with their privacy.

Remember what you read is not always fact. People hate google because it is so big. Does that make it bad?
