Hello, I am starting up a new website. Basicly the website will contain alot of SEO , webmaster , marketing tools. Paid and Free. But what is better ? to use a new domain name or use Drixxel.com Drixxel.com is currently 550k in alexa http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/drixxel.com I need some advice here
I would suggest to use a new domain name with your keyword in it . Keyword in domain becomes easy to market in SE and rank .
According to me, take a new domain and do all the activities of SEO that will helps in ranking as well as in traffic.
550k alexa ranking is nearly nothing to care about! You can start your project with a new domain name & select the domain name which consists of 1 or 2 keywords related to your product/service in it.
check the siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com for the Drixxel site as well as it's Google backlinks. Alexa ranking can be faked. If the site is legit, you may want to start with that domain, if not, start with a new domain with your keyword in it.
You can develop different strategies, short-term and long-term marketing strategy, short-term to a fee-based, long-term based on the SEO
If you are getting new domain with your keyword in it then start with new domain otherwise use old domain.
I will prefer to use the new one with a keyword in the domain since it makes you easier to rank the site if the keyword is present in the domain,
when you are purchasing a domain then first make your your keyword is mention in your domain name which is beneficial by SEO point of view.
