Changing YOur PayPal Business Name

Hi,

I recently signed up with PayPal and registered with a misspelled Business Name. I've been exploring the whole site and cant seem to find a way to change the business name i registered with. Anyone here knows how to change it?

Why dont you ask Paypal support ?

 

yes i already emailed them and got an automated reply which didnt answer my problem. I just thought i can get a quick solution here.

 

Log into your account, and go to the help section. Search for 'change business name', and it should be the first option.

you cant change your name, you have to create a new account, just delete that one and re-make it.

 

you can change the business name but it usually requires a bunch of paperwork to verify the business name/address/phone to make sure it's legit. Have done it twice on two separate accounts. Think I faxed them a bank statement, proof of the business name, and a utility bill. They were pretty quick on it.

i had to contact their support center .. it took ages, and eventually they changed, it, but they didnt alter my banking information to my new name....and so i had to close my account and start again

 

can you have a personal account and a business account?

ie:
John Smith
and
Rainbow Inc.

 

Yes,You can have one personal and one business or premier account. (TOC)

isnt it possible to have more than one display name with paypal. by this i mean instead of it showing your personal email to your online customers it displays your chosen name. correct me if im wrong. im actually very curious

yes u can change ur name just log in to your paypal ac
then paste this link into ur same paypal browser.

and u will be able to change ur name

plz enter . on the place of (dot)

 

I recently went through a PayPal name change.
Just email their support and they will change it for you.
