Is advertising on Facebook a good idea?

I highly suggest developing a facebook fan page and use facebook ads to get more fans on that page. This way you'll have the ability to remain in contact with those who "like" your page, and also if your title is catchy and theres an incentive to join your page, the friends of your fans will start joining too and you'll get the most out of your money.

 

I still prefer having just a fan page and working on its number of fans, maybe I'll try fb aid ads in the future since I heard that Facebook is going to have a forced upgrade.

 

Haven't thought of this before, but it sounds like a good thing to try at least if it's cheap

Personally I have not experience of using Facebook Advertising but my friend has tried it once. He was not so satisfied actually as he has got many impressions but clicks were very few.

 

facebook is cheaper than google. That's for sure. The reason people go to facebook is to socialize with friends and family. Most of them are not ready to spend money on the net. Unlike google, people go to google to find info, mostly about things they are interested in. Let's say I need a review on a bike, I go to google, and not facebook. At least not now, but who knows if this will change in the near future.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but I'm really worried about the security on facebook. Especially when you are linking your facebook with your credit card to pay for the ads.

If you are an active fb game application, Big chances that people can exploit your id since facebook has not implemented https for their application, therefore, people can simply catch your id and password by using sniffer.

 

Because of the GOV.It is not easy to use facebook in China...................

Seems to be a great idea in order to go for and using facebook for promoting and advertising ones business need. One can go and produce great results with on a business website as to with use of facebook.

 

Facebook ads is pretty effective just like Adsense. But before adding a new campaign make sure you research on who to target. It will be ideal if you can get low CPC of course to lessen the cost of the whole advertising venture.
