Ok, I'm sick and tired of seeing people who think their crappy, copied content, and otherwise useless site is worth thousands of dollars. All they are doing is wasting peoples time and pushing the worthwhile auctions down to the bottom. I mean seriously, if you have all copied content and terrible search engine rankings your site is NOT worth $1,000...

    Somebody seriously needs to either:

A.) Have a "how to properly price and sell your website" seminar... or

B.) Start deleting useless threads that waste everybodies time.

I've been here at DP for more than 3 years and it seems like this has only been started to happen lately.

    Does anybody agree with me?

Why not just filter them based on if the content is unique (and/or whatever else you want)?

While that function may serve a purpose, people just put down that the content is unique for the hell of it. I'm tired of seeing crap threads that push down legitimate sellers threads.

If you see someone lying about the content being unique, just use the report post button.

Trust me, I've done that multiple times and nothing is happened. I'd also suggest some sort of system that requires a certain post count to post in several of the forums, one being Sites.

Not that I wouldn't trust you, but I just went through every Reported Post you ever filed (10 in total). Not a single one had anything to do with info being false on an auction. All 10 of your reported posts had actions taken on the post you reported.

Good idea... although it's already in place and was implemented in 2004. :) http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=rules#faq_posting_guidelines

Then I must have changed my mind about reporting it I'm not sure.

I haven't had to think about that rule in such a long time I must have forgotten about it haha... Anyways, maybe you could have one of the existing mods watch over the posts in there a little more closely? Just a thought.

There are millions and millions of posts. While many are caught before anyone sees them, it's not really practical to expect mods to be able to filter every post for every possible reason. That's ultimately what the Report Post function is for. If you see something, just report it.

Hey Shawn I have an idea.

Can you add next to Report Button something like "Post Reported" or maybe
to make Report Button itself to change color from blue to red or whatever?

    By doing that
    a) users won't report post twice,
    b) Mods will have smaller Reported Posts Bin

Even better yet, if post already reported, on mouse over button message
will say: Post has been reported.

    Yes, no, maybe?

Bad post report function works well the way it is. If multiples report same post all ports form thread of their own. This serves to call our attention to the probem.

As Smyrl pointed out, there's no issue with reporting more than once. In fact it's a good thing. It does not create extra reports, only appends to the existing one. If 15 people report something, we can see it might be important since so many people reported it.

because you ..... (wait i gotta think nice thoughts)
because you been here 3 years and only got one bar of good rep.

but look little one. what seems crap to you, might be a whole years work to a kid in india, and because its not worth $1,000 you call it crap? (nice thoughts sammie) i gave you bad rep because you had the nerve to think only people in the usa who can afford $1,000+ websites, has the right to post sites for sale..

People in India and other places, live on about $15 a week, so a $50 sale is a months income for some. so dont be so selfless and self centred about what is for sale on a worldwide sales forum.

I couldn't give 2 shits if you live on $15 a week, if you don't know how to value and sell a damn website, it's simple DON'T POST IT. Just because you aren't as fortunate as somebody else doesn't make your website worth any more money. Get over yourself.

Do you want to donate some money to them then? Yea, that's right, I didn't think so. Wow, you are so much cooler because you say "you have to be nice", oh I'm shaking in my boots at the very thought of me being in your "crosshairs". Uh oh, whatever shall I do? Some internet badass with a huge ego has me in their crosshairs OH NO!

Cause I don't have rep I'm a noob? So what if I don't do things to help others, I live to benefit myself, not some kid in India, because frankly, I couldn't care less about India, or anywhere else for that matter.

What makes you think I should care about some random person on the internet that I've never met or spoken to.

Since you don't care about anyone but yourself, what the f did you make this suggestion for, and for whom? For you, right? Well , unlike you, the admins/mods do think about everyone and the whole forum as one big community.

As far as I can say, the forum couldn't care less for one DH Jason
