    a little, since the yahoo links are nofollow, they don't help more for SEO. But you can get some traffic from yahoo answers, I don't use it because for me there are other ways working fine

    Though it is claimed that yahoo answers are wonderful, i have doubt about it. I have asked question- why daily my backlinks are reduced by some hundred numbers every day, in spite of my making every day new backlinks. I have yet to get answers for it. But when question are asked why yahoo on its own does not provide guidance or answers on such matter. It is expected of them.

    Certainly, Yahoo answers is a good source for driving traffic. If you are planning to post your replies there just for the sake of backlink benefit (SEO) then it may not help you much since backlinks have nofollow tag rather you should show your talent in your reply hence can grab attention of viewing audience hence traffic and reputation :)

    Any unique content added to a large directory or question/answer related website will rank in google quickly (sometimes within 20 minutes). The busier the directory the better. Having your webpage address on this Q/A page is good but Google have copt on to the backlinks from this method, so a non-active link will work better in the long run - look up PEO.

    Simple answer is yes.

    Yahoo answer link is nofollow. But it do helps to get convert able visitor if you put links in genuine topic where it is needed. And yes you need to have 240 or 250 points to make your link active otherwise it will go text.

    Yahoo Answers could help get your site attention if you link to it when it's appropriate. There's so many trolls on Yahoo! Answers though that your answer might get buried under one sentence nonsense. It couldn't hurt to try though.
