Venture capitalists usually funds in access of $1 million which is a fund too big for most blogging based business. Am here mainly searching for some investor that funds anything around $100k. Surely, off line investment is not an option, I can’t even convince my parents to give me money... off line people will never understand about this internet business thing. I can hear their reactions in my head, “blogging? Social media? Contextual? And what did you say – you want money for all this?†No way... I always keep a strong eye open for the partnership section of this forum, but I hardly get any response. Why should I make a ten page long business plan when I can sum it up in five points? 1) Content – Includes keyword research, long tail, quality articles, niche topics to target... 2) Link building – from guest posting to getting quality niche based links... 3) Social media – hitting digg front page every other day, do I need to say more... 4) Monetization – earn money when the blog is ready, shouldn’t take more than a year to see some good money coming, especially when the site is already a year or so old. 5) Pay you back? – Time to return the money with interest and perhaps a part of future earnings for years to come... That is all there is, and anyone who understands this online business thing should understand the potential? But how can I show this simple business plan to any potential investor and make him see sense in the idea? If i get the funds, here are my targets that i want to achieve with the funds, 1) Since my niche is health, i would like to post enough health news articles so that i get into the Google news for health. This step is easy though, i would be able to manage it without the funds. Though with the funds, it will be easy to increase the amount and quality of the content by hiring quality writers. 2) Will try to get my blogs in the Technorati top 100 blogs. 3) Adsense premium publisher, Yeah! 4) Would some day, hopefully, make the top 50 or something list of forbes. So, what will you do with the venture capital if you get it? PS.
