We have all been through the phase ofthinking and contemplating about internet marketing. We have also been through the phase of making plans, downloading all the latest red hot IM ebooks/courses/videos off the internet and jumping on from one golden method to another. We have all done that and some still do! The fact of the matter is that success comes to those who 'strive' for it! Notice the word ‘Strive’, not ‘think’ not ‘learn’, not ‘read’, but take some 'Honest-to-God Effort' in doing something practical. You have to actually take some action on your part. As my mentor puts it, there are three things to follow in consecutive order namely Action, Fire, Aim! –-- What! --- Yeah you read it right. You can always aim for the stars later but you have to actually take some bold steps first if you want to make some progress. You might be asking, “what if we took the wrong action? We need to learn ALL the methods of this vast field and then we would be readyâ€. Let me tell you, you would be wrong! Gaining knowledge is a life long process and it starts from the day you are born to the end of your life. No one is stopping you from learning and you shouldn’t!, but that doesn’t mean you should leave the part of implementing and wait till you are ready. If that is the way you roll, then I am afraid, you will never be ready! An example that comes to mind is of doctors, medicine is an ever-changing field. Numerous medical reports, techniques, medicines, research papers are being published everyday. Have you seen doctors gain the ‘entire’ theoretical knowledge before they start practicing, No! They are required to study the basic medical science subjects to earn their MBBS degree and then they start! Their learning and updating knowledge process continues on the side along with their medical practice. This applies to you too! If you are wondering that they take 5-6 years and you should take at least a year or two. To be honest, it takes you at the most a month to gain basic internet marketing knowledge if you put in the hours, and the success in IM is more dependent on a persons personal experience than anything else. Once you are familiar with the basics, it is time for you to dive in! How exciting is that! Look at it as a challenge, you will fail at first, but it is a learning experience. Besides, you need to fail first to enjoy success later! As far as catching up on the latest marketing methods is concerned, set aside a time for it per day lets say 1 to 2 hours to read on some new material and discover other potential profitable methods, but let me remind you , it should not exceed the time given for practical work towards reaching your goal. Start off by taking smaller challenges first, master them and then move on to bigger risks. But the key to success in Internet Marketing or for that matter anything in the world is ‘Action’. Take action NOW, you can ALWAYS learn later, both from personal experience and the experience of others.

I'm definitely agreeing to the fact that the success of one will come through actually doing it. Thinking about it won't get you far. The process will take time and some work, but hey what doesn't? lol@roncha That should be taken as a learning experience. All the big time gurus and hotshots have taken some wrong action at some point of their career, either they admit it or not! Besides, thats the 'only' way you can find methods that work for you and methods that dont.
