For all of you blogger users, is it worth to change from Blogger to Blogger Beta? Who has done it and what do you think of the change?

Blogger beta is really improving fast...few days back it was very buggy, showing an error when you tried to change the template format...but now it works fine...Great feature added...I really like the feature they give while putting new sections in your template without having to do with codes...now you can directly add a section in your template and that too with lot of additional options...Few days ago I use to think beta was horrible...but now I started liking it really:D:D

I am going to wait until it's final... Over the years of Playing around with BETA's I kind figured I can just sit back and save myself a bunch of headaches...

What do you mean user ID? So if I use xxxxxxxx to log in, now I will use ?

Who from here as transferred from boggler to beta? Can you do anything you do in blogger plus more in the beta, or will you lose certain things you could do in normal blogger once you are in beta?

lol beta is much more powerful that normal blogger...why don't you just signup a new account in beta and see its great features...that's the best way and it will take just a few minutes...I am sure you will like it...And yes, you will have to sing in using some now in beta...

I use both. I like the old Blogger and I like Beta Blogger.

I like Beta Blogger better because of the tags...makes it easier to find stuff, ya know. And I like other new features as well. I just realized they added the tags in "edit posts" area too.

I did'nt like Beta at first because I could not figure out how to put adsense ads above posts and below posts...could only add to the sidebar. But I figured it out and found out a couple more nice little tricks.

Lol I don't know what trick you found out, but in Blogger Beta you can add a java script code block easily form the template setting and arrange the blocks anywhere you like...just drag the block to the place you want it to appear, either above the post, bellow the post or in the sidebar...

I guess it was the template I chose that was making it difficult. And I tried moving the blocks above and below posts and it would'nt let me.

What I really would like to do is have an ad unit(banner) above posts and a link unit under the 3rd post midway down the page....I have 6 posts that show on the main page of my blog. Is that possible? I can get ads to show on the bottom of the page after posts...but not midway through the page after the 2nd or 3rd post.

Yes, I agree with you, I also used to have some problem with some templates in changing the block positions. But I believe that was a beta bug, because the same template is working fine now a days..

And about adding a link unit just midway after the third post, I haven't yet tried using the blogger beta feature. I don't think Blogger beta provide a feature like that in their new drag and drop features. Maybe you can try some hacks in the template itself for that. If you do know such a trick, I will appreciate if you share that with us...
