I like FPForum's theory...I think I have 2 sites that are "sandboxed" - they are newer and have less than 50 posts so far...traffic is not the greatest on either...Meanwhile another site, which is roughly the same age/same # posts is getting on the first 2 pages with actually MORE competition than the first ones... I am wondering if having adsense right away makes a difference...the one doing better has no adsense on it, since I don't think adsense would work on the nature of that site...
Thanks very much, to add one more point, google likes dynamic content, more dynamic content = more crawls -> less time in the sandbox.
To identify if your site is sandboxed, one of the easiest ways is to use the allinanchor search string in Google, like this: allinanchor: â€your keywords†If you have built links to your domain or its pages and you believe you should be ranking higher than you are, this search will show a significant difference in positioning than just searching in Google for your main keywords. The allinanchor search shows results based on the incoming links to sites. Therefore, if you are ranking high with the allinanchor search and not when you do a normal Google search, then you are in the Sandbox. There are of course many other filters and penalties that Google can imply on your site, that are harder to detect.
searchenginegenie.com/sandbox-checker.htm yes this tool is a joke. You can work it out by just testing a few sites like facebook which are apparently sandboxed. The best way to see if your site is sandboxed is to search for your domain and your site should come up at the top of google. Then in "" search for your meta description. If your site does not appear at the top, it is sandboxed.
One of My site is about 2 years old.I have earned many quality backlinks that are very relative to my site.I have also published many videos pointing to my site as well as articles ,articles ,articles..None of my tactics are grey nor Black hat.Everything is common and well rounded. Although i consider all of my works to be very white hat .I did move along at a great rate of speed moving forward... This site is ranking quite nicely but i always worried about being sandboxed or penalized ..Only because of the amount of work involved in this one particular site
Why do you think you are sandboxed here at download2s.com? are you not ranking in any keywords? How old is this site? Are these downloads actually yours (Legal rights)?
what if the page is still indexed and not coming in SERPS, though the serp for the keyword was good and now not anymore ?
In the beginning days you launch a website ,It will usually rank very well for a few weeks ,Until google cache the keywords it is trying to rank for then it will be seen for its "TRUE" value...Whatever that may be 800,1000 maybe even 180,000 out of 2 million results..But you cannot truly rate or measure a websites rank for any keywords at all ...Until atleast 2-3 months after you launch the site or introduce ranking for any particular keyword... This is more commonly known as "The Google Bounce"
Search your site domain name in google search if your site isn't showing then you may be got sandbox.
search anything relating to your blog..... no results will Google display....Congrats you are ow in sandbox....
To makesure whether in sandboxed, I basically use these 1. Check your page index with "site:domain.com"... its all your index page gone, congrats 2. If there is still index page in google then check it with "cache:domain.com"... see when the last crawler check your domain 3. Search with keyword page, domain, and contents you have... if not appear on page 10th or more... then congrats
Just wondering, does PR0 after a certain long time, say 1-2 years on an index page with 50+ incoming links and content mean you are sandboxed?
