This seems more like a story from a modern e-book, but a man called Terry Henfleet who has been outed as a former Google employee is threatening to expose a flaw in Google's algorithm by ranking #1 for 10 unlikely search terms, proposed by his blog readers

read more here entitled "beating the algorithm"

He goes on to say it's not SEO but "pure maths"

Who believes him? Why would he be such a smart-ass who can get his site for 10 keyphrases on #1 without backlink building and even without SEO optimization? :/

I doubt it. It would be possible if he's targetting the keywords mentioned in the comments ;)

For a domain that old, some terms are practically impossible, such as "facebook"

others are 100% impossible, such as "google"

Either this guy is 100% fake or 100% has something.

I do not see this person selling anything. There is no mention of anything other then giving this information away for free.

99% sure this is just a hoax to generate traffic and user attention, but can't deny a small part of me is intrigued.

as for selling, he might not be offering it now and he suggests it will be patched "instantly" but this could be part of the setup, then he goes, google didnt patch it you can find out how to do it for $$$

My personal opinion, this is a perfect article that is perfect link bait to rank for plenty of terms in 30 days on its own

Probably not, the claim is this will be patched not long after the flaw is released.

I think this is a person who is not happy about being an "ex" employee and wishes to damage the reputation by leaking something major.

I have my doubts, but there have been known loopholes in Google's algo before. Of course, it always gets patched up, but we will see.

Exactly. This isn't getting much publicity at the moment, but imagine in a month's time if this is true. It could be massive news.

True, but maybe for a little while, if every article can get 1-10 SERP , even if it is for a short while, a lot of people will try
