What's a simple question you can ask yourself to separate a Benefit from a Feature?

Benefits play to the emotions & aspirations. Benefits describe the "HIGH," the ways you'll be smarter, faster, richer, prettier, etc. Benefits paint a picture of relief. Example: "Get Fiithy Rich Doing ZILCH and Live Like Donald Trump by Spending $1 Lowly USD!" Or, "Learn the Secrets to Making ANY Man Your Slave - Even If You've Failed Miserably at Weight Watchers!"

Features simply describe the physical attributes, concept or item. It's a red car with 4-wheel drive that cost $38,999. It's a hypnosis book with 77 pages, with 3 bonus DVDs. It's a pink lipstick that tastes like candy plus a free velvet pouch. It's a seminar in Arizona with a guru. etc.

BTW: Good luck getting to your goal of forum signature! :)

    Hi,
Features are physical aspects. For example - a pencil is yellow, with an eraser on the end.

Benefits are why the physical aspects are there in the first place: a yellow pencil is way easier to find if you drop it, compared to a black one. And that eraser - hey, it's like having your own personal delete key, built right in to that pencil. How handy is that!

    See the difference now?
