Has Google's algorithm changed recently?

Hey guys, the reason why I ask this question is that our SERPs in Google keep going down these days. Our SEO activities hardly changed and our external links are actually growing. It's really confusing. Please help.

The Farmer Update is a new update made by G, which has been made to make the results more relevant by degrading the content farms websites

I'm not surprised, they are always changing it. Sometimes I find it really frustrating but it "helps" (maybe I should say forces?) me to keep improving.

Yes, Google announced an update very recently. I read an article that Google's Matt Cutts & Amit Singhil did with WIRED about it. Google's new thing is called "Panda."

I've also read that LOTS of VERY heavy sites lost some of their juice because of this. Panda places more vigorous emphasis on QUALITY content.

Interestingly, two of my web pages finally hit the 1st page of Google during this same period!!!! I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I'm thinking Panda may be my new best friend. :)

As a quality content writer, I suspect that Panda will ultimately be good for business.

Its not anything new. They're just making the results more relevant. So maybe you should target those keywords which are in fact used in your website's content!
