What Are benifts For DMOZ ?

Please be honest, and show me which category you have updated in November and October?

Just show me 2/3 categories which are updated since August 2010.

Be honest to admit. Kindly do not use the same 10 years old ODP answers.

What you are saying is no more new, it is being said since last decade.

 

Anonymously is a volunteer who can edit as much or as little as he wishes - providing that he makes at least one edit every 120 days. You already know this so why are you expecting him to have done any work in October and November?

Why do you keep asking the editors here to be honest with you? Do you expect them to tell you lies? If you do, what was the point in asking?

Jim, I do not have any self interest on ODP. For proof you can search ODP suggested sites, mostly none of of my own developed sites are suggested yet excluding one which is a News Portal.

What I want all is just ODP to remain active and in it's own track.

I asked to be honest with the TRUTH, not with me.
Sometime the Editors say that the bottom-lined Last Edited date is not properly displaying, which is totally False. I told to be honest with that. Tell frankly that due to some(whatever may be) problem category updates are under suspended.

What is a volunteer?
Being a volunteer does not mean that he will create his own rule, "I may do or may not, who are you to ask me to do"?
At least, in eastern countries, we know that volunteers are also have TO DO MUST duties.
It's strange that AOL is trying to create a new meaning of VOLUNTEER.

 

Yes volunteers have to do certain things on DMOZ. As stated earlier a volunteer under DMOZ guidelines has to edit at least once in 120 days. Jim has already told you that. If I had not edited in the last 120 days I would no longer be an editor.

But there does seem to be a bug in the dates on the categories, I checked some of my recent edits and the category has not updated the date but due to some internal updates we work with one or two bugs around at present.

 

dmoz will definately increase you're site's popularity

In a post, I said DMOZ software has bug, but you denied. Now here you are saying that DMOZ has bugs. Which one should we believe?

Yes. Getting listed in DMOZ doesn't mean that your traffic will be increased. But it is sure that your PR will be increased somewhat.

Who knows which is being updated.

 

dmoz is of no use to me, eventhough i have a good quality website, they did not approve. Maybe they hadn't seen my listing it!

 

Except your PR improvement, everything you are correct about ODP.
