If you dont have time for it then dont get a dog its unfair on them, you need to look after them, train them and love them. If your looking for a fun and smart dog go with the border collie you wont find a smarter breed very easy to train. Labrador Retriever are again smart and easy to train. If you want a gaurd dog and a fun dog go with a Rottweiler.
i think it is okay , but you need take care of it as possible as you can . Maybe it can be good friends with you .
Cocker spaniel, especially a female one. Small, petite and thinks its a German Shepard. My sister had one and the dog was banned from dog parks for fighting with other dogs including jumping on picnic tables to bark at random people.
I suggest if you live in an apartment, not to go for a big dog, but hey, thats justr what i think, but dogs are really good companions .
A dog is all about how well you train it and how much attention you give it, doesn't matter what breed, even though have a greater chance on being a certain way, it's still all in how you train it. I personally don't have any pure bred dogs, I have all mutts. I did have some pure bred dogs in that past, and I tell you every mutt I've had has been healthy, and cleaner have any pure bred.
Well, honestly since you said you don't have much time for a dog, then you probably shouldn't be getting one. Dogs need attention and not someone to use them and never take care of them!!
You might consider a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. A buddy of mine has one that he keeps at his condo and speaks very well of it. It's also supposed to be the best dog breed for the zombie apocalypse according to this zombie survival plan site. (Full disclosure: my Corgi buddy is also my zombie buddy.)
