There are many ways you can drive traffic to your site from social networking and I would like share some easy and effective ways which has worked for me.

1. Blogging over social network sites.
2. Social media marketing through YouTube video publishing.
3. Do bookmarking as much as you can.

 

Here's what I would do:

1. Sign up to Myspace and start interacting with users to make connections and link back to your website on your profile.
2. Post videos to multiple video websites like Vimeo, Youtube, Revver, Metacafe etc... with a link back to your website in the description.
3. Make a twitter account and actively post updates about your business or some cool facts every day that people would be interested in about your market with a link back to your website.
4. Make a FaceBook page for your business and promote it to your friends and family.

 

You can register in social networking and make use of the features that social networking are giving like in facebook that you can create a fan page and make some post or updates about your site. And to make it more bankable to viewers eye, make your post interesting and intriguing enough to catch their attention.

 

Just be normal. Nobody likes bot-like updates and spam-artists. All my Social network accounts for the most part are my own, me.

You have to be careful with your activities on the Social Networks because of their strict privacy policy. Facebook and Twitter are good social networking site. Create groups, add friends and followers and share informative news with your community.

 

Simple, create an interesting Page. Get family and friends and tell them to share that page on their status, you should input your website and describe it in brief.
Try to advertise on facebook spending couple of bucks, this is sure traffic from facebook and many sales if you have a product!
