Can you generate 1.0 M Hits per month?

We all know that traffic is one of the important things when it comes to online business; was just wondering if there is a way to generate massive amount of traffic in one month say like 1,000,000 hits? on a consistence base?

 

I'm sure it's possible if you have a HUGE dominance over a popular niche, otherwise quite difficult. Would take a lot of time (years) to achieve, in my opinion.

 

It's not impossible, but is it necessary - that's what you need to ask yourself. Only buyers matter (buyer keywords). I would prefer to have 50k buyers per month, then 1million non buyers.

 

i think no one can do that except those well known or popular site..

 

If you have a well designed site and if it is optimized well your number can be achieved. Design and development are the key points here before optimizing it

 

Not EVRY or ANY site can generate such traffic

I see this all the time clients in paper rapping site Expecting LARGE Traffic when there niche is not very popular ... you need to keap it real ...

 

you cannot have this much of traffic without anything unique and mind blowing product or service that everyone want to have. You can achieve that amount of traffic only if there is a huge demand. I have done SEO of many online movies website and believe me they don't have more then 200,000 user/day because there is not much demand more than this in the current market.

 

Going viral with youtube video, or getting a major scoop.

 

or by having a very good and established site. as that's around 33 000 impressions daily over so I guess with regular visitor and readers along with organic traffic that can be achieved.. but its certainly not easy.

 

yeah when you get PR 4++ and alexa rank under 5k.

 

My forum generates just under 1 million uniques/month (off by like 30-40k). It's definitely possible. Took me 4 years.

 

Its not impossible if thats what you're asking. But you will have to offer something that can stand this kind of popularity. You can't expect to be writing on something that has a small niche and expect hits like those. If you look into movies or celebrity gossip kind of a thing - that sure is to rack up a decent number of hits. Especially if you have unique content.

 

Cure cancer and I'm sure you will get a lot of visitors.
Nothing is impossible but the higher your goals are the harder it's gonna get.
You have to think out of the box to achieve this amount.
OR you could be the owner/partner of other high-traffic websites.

I would have to create a very creative and unique video that will go viral...and in return i get lots of visitors back to my site!!

 

Depends on the niche as well. But, its very possible.
