Contest header/menu redesign contest - $150 / 24hr

hello again,
looking for a person that will convert this PNG into a PSD design, to be used as a menu

this image is not very high quality, so you will have to upgrade it a little bit, and remove the background, the final file has to have width of 980px

also, the text layer has to be separated and some effects added for hover

 

remove the backgroud <---which background do you mean need to be removed? is it the sky and cloud?

 

yes, actually it needs to be removed only to be added as another layer, as I will be changing background for different seasons and day/night

 

Is there a typo in the title? Does this really pay $150?

 

thanks for your interest. it's not a typo, $150 for a proper person but only if I'll be 100% happy with the job done

well if you stretch it to fit the 980px you will probably need to make it a little bit bigger. if you manage to add some to the left/right sides and extend the current design - even better
I appreciate all the efforts, but please only join if your skills are very good. I was promised it will be done several times, nobody came even close so far. I'm getting tired that's why I'm offering $150 for the proper person

So you want to separate Lounge Chat, Forum, Town Hall from the image and turn them into text layers?

 

yes, but not "Town Hall" only "Forums" you can get rid of the "Town Hall" as it's a bit confusing

 

My initial background removal. Wanted to get our feedback before I go any further. Rather than stretch the image I plan on adding a few things on the right and left like some trees or hills or something... Let me know what you think and I will get to work on playing around with the signs and rollover effects.

Another question, can we use similar fonts for the text or maybe a little different ?

 

it's looking good, but it needs to be stretched to 980px - then more can be added to the sides

you can use different fonts as long as the overall look&feel is preserved

I have only completed hover effects on two of the texts. I will do all of them in the same way if I am chosen as the winner. Just let me know if you like what I have done and I will be happy to make additions.

one thought: I hope you all do realize that this image has to be 980px wide? none of them is

 

Mine is 980px wide. I think the forum resizes them slightly
