You can solve this issue by reading and understanding what issue Google has stated. Pretty simple, right?

Allright. Let me explain to you - Go to your blog. Log-in and write a new post. Your new post should contain these words "This post confirms my
ownership of the site and that this site adheres to Google AdSense
program policies and Terms and Conditions".

Then, publish the post. You will get an URL. Copy that and send that URL to google by resubmitting your application. That's it.

    Hope it helps.....

I don't think this will work out for Google asked to create a separate page with the foresaid content on that particular page. You must follow exactly what goggle has said. You need to have access to hosting control panel to do the same.

i got the same message domain ownership not evident.

i went through whatever they have requested and created a page with the phrase what was required bla bla bla....

guess what, google reply almost within 36hr stating that the application was rejected again and this round it was the "page type"!

why not they just shoot the first round since the page type is not what they wanted?!

However, they've clearly changed their application algorithm to check the domain registrar details against the applicant's details first, and when that's fixed up you get the "crap blog" ... er, I mean "page type" knockback afterwards.

    Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into AdSense at
    this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

    Issues:
    - Page Type

    ---------------------

    Further detail:
Page Type: In order to participate in Google AdSense, publishers' websites
and application information must satisfy the following guidelines:

    - Your website must be your own top-level domain (www.example.com and not
    www.example.com/mysite).
    - You must provide accurate personal information with your application
that matches the information on your domain registration.
    - Your website must contain substantial, original content.
    - Your site must comply with Google AdSense program policies:
    https://www.google.com/adsense/policies" which include Google's webmaster
    quality guidelines:
    http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769#quality
    .

If your site satisfies the above criteria in the future, please resubmit
your application and we'll review it as soon as possible

just follow up with what Google asked you for.

it's no biggie, you will get approved in no time, but to be frank, I never had this kind of issue before though, but the site I submit mainly was fully public information for my domains and such.

Just create a new page in your website and write the sentence that was given by google. And resubmit your application. They are asking just to confirm your ownership of your domain. Because now so many are making fraud by using false domains which are not owned by them.

Page type? Do you have sub-domain type web site? Those are not accepted by Google. You must get a top level domain.
