Please with WAMP installation

    Hi I am new to web-designing. I had wamp installed in my pc (OS windows7).But 2 days ago i could not open it. File got corrupted. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. But I can not connect with local host anyway. I tried several times. But failed

    I think there is a virus appudate.exe. My antivirus can't delete it. I see no problem right now with my pc except struggling with WAMP. is it coz of that virus?

    I have back up of my data in a hard drive. Tried to reinstall windows-7 again. but i don't have windows7 CD. I tried to reinstall it from image back up. But no change. Don't know how to reinstall windows again without CD from back up. Please help me about the issues. Thanks.

    You can use another alternative as EasyPHP (link: www.easyphp.org), I tried this at the beginning of my steps.

    OMG! Don't think about re-installing entire OS!
    Simple:

    apachefriends[dot]org/en/xampp-windows[dot]html

    Download, it installs portable version, Just incase things get messy, u delete and re-extract !

    Make sure, your firewall / windows allow this program to run as an administrator. :)

    I started developing using WAMP, but it was flakey. Sooner rather than later, I had to set up the linux version because messing with WAMP was a waste of time.

    After uninstall you can restart your pc to install wamp again to avoid problem.
    Better, you use XAMPP, it is also easier and OK.
