    If you only want back links that are in SE try my program from sign. You can check your internal links for which are back link searched. If you want to know if specific links are live, I don't know some free program for that.

    There are many tools which specifically search for backlinks to a given site.
    If you have a link exchange and want to check whether the person is linking back check out http://www.linktemple.com/
