New article on a "secret" marketing technique that I use.

It may not be really "secret", but not many know about it for some reason. So I shared it in my blog.

Feel free to view it at my domain,

    http://www.danielfischer.com/2006/10/17/a-marketing-traffic-secret-for-all-websites/

Thank you, and if you have any questions feel free to reply.

(also if you want me to write about something specifically, go ahead and PM me and I'll take your request in my next question e-mail batch)

I agree it's not really a secret. It's how I'm able to drive traffic to my zine pretty easily w/o ever thinking about SEO (I don't ask the writers to worry about SEO for the simple reason that it destroys the value of a "review" if it's not just their own words). It's very effective. :) It's also how I ended up with most of my music industry contacts over the last two years. :)

But even though it's not really "new," I liked that you eventually got to a bit of a step by step on it, to help people who might not be comfortable. :) Good job.

Most successful people know about it. I've spoke to so many people that needed this information. So to those new to the game, it's a secret. :)

    Thanks for the feedback.

Ok, if i understand it well, i will make a partnership with a competitor, right? I am in file hosting business, i don't think my competitor won't be a partner with me and vice versa

You would look for a complementary business. For example, photographers might be looking for file hosting.

It wouldn't have to be a competitor. It could be a complimentary business / site - someone who doesn't compete directly with you, but to targets the same market. For example, I run an indie music zine. I tend to cross-promote / "partner" with sites line indie internet radio stations, a band's own website, etc. Just find something similar w/o being the same. :)

nice article. i read it nicely. your introduction seems to have lots of marketing tactics. you should start your own sales page. :D. but anyways, though in some occasion it does not seem to work due to nature of marketing these days of generating an email template to help promote their site, webmaster are seem to be ignoring these type of email.

But best of luck to those people. you might get lucky sometimes if the webmaster related to your site are nice. keep up the good work. :)

    Well done Fisch - :D

I find a healthy reminder of a proven method is usually more beneficial than the buzz around new 'theories' anyways.

    Simple, and yet effective technique.

For some reason it reminds me of when I met Luca Cordero di Montezemolo in Rome and, while trying to ask him to endorse my site, Ferrari Blog, I almost got shot from a bodyguard
