Offline marketing is as important as online marketing is. it entirely depends on the ways as well as methods with the help of which you are doing offline marketing...So try to have an edge on those methods..

You target your marketing however you can be reach your people. It way more complicated than this, but if your question is (?) will one replace the other, I would say no way.
Media rarely replaces another older media: the radio was supposed to replace the newspaper, the TV was suppose to replace the radio, the Internet was suppose to replace TV. None of that has happened yet.

As has already been mentioned, your offline and online marketing should meld together and help each other. If you know Internet Marketing pretty well, at least well enough that your earning money from it, there are local businesses in your area that will pay you for that knowledge to help them get their business marketed better online.

It really depends what it is you are offering. Certain business' work well with both forms of advertising whereas certain business' can only effictively utilise one of the two advertising methods.

But all in all these are both extremelly important and one will NEVER replace the other. They supplement each other in the majority of cases.

Offline works together with online. Thus, maximizing traffic and getting your name out.
Like forumweaver said. Some businesses tho don't work on offline. Vice versa.

With an offline business that must be local (Gardening, in person coaching, etc) the site is used as an information base and to provide a site for your customers.
