    It is very true email marketing can bring a lots of traffic, But it may be non interested traffic, some times only for once. So you should try to generate targeted traffic, Which will stay with you for a long time. Since , targeted traffic needs great information , so your site should have. Otherwise you could loose your visitors for ever.

    in some methods, email marketing is the only option, but it kinda sucks for the most part. Email takes forever and the user wants instant results.

    Email marketing can be really great, one of the sites I work with has a list of about 2000. It is a good ecommerce business that does really well anyway but email are sent out once a week with any news, offers, or just solid info if nothing else and the click through rate is about 15% on average to the main site and about 45% in total to the blog, social profiles etc. The 15% that actually click through to the main site to see the offers may not sound like a lot but that is over 200 qualified leads that usually end up buying something every time an email is sent.
