    Greetings, Digitalpoint staff/admin/members.

First of all, I'd like to say thankyou for this truly awesome forum, it's simple the best forum on the net, not just the people but the mods and admin, without them this forum would be full of spam, they do a good job.

The reason I am writing this is I believe I would make a good moderator, I am a member of many forums, I have caught and reported a few people selling their accounts, as I know Digitalpoint does not allow that. I also do lot's of reporting as well as spend heap's of time online.

I'm not sure if DP allows applications, and member's my flame me for it, but I figured it's worth a shot, I truly believe I can make a good moderate here, even if it's for one forum, I can keep it clean, I've been here for over a year so I know the ropes!

    Your's sincerely,

    Chimpysmith.

This forum is already full of spam

And there's no application for moderators, admins and stuff. The mods that DP has were chosen. Oh and I'm not quite sure if you really have what it takes to be a mod since your rep says, "chimpysmith is an unknown quantity at this point"

    :)

Rep doesn't mean a big deal to me, I prefer to not get caught up in those systems.

You do not choose to become a mod. The mods choose you.

I just have fun clicking the 'report' button here, it seems to work quite nicely :)

While your willingness to help is noted and appreciated, we generally shy away from people who specifically express interest in being a mod. More often than not, people have ulterior motives and are just after some sort of power. I'm not saying that's the case in your situation, but generally when we are adding new mods, we discuss it internally, nominate some people who we think would make good mods, and then invite them if we are in agreement.

That's fine, thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

You probably would hate it anyway. It's a thankless job and all you end up getting are a billion spammers and everyone complaining about something. :)

It would be great if you could prove what you speak.

Update your signature in WF that you are laxman363 of DP and link us to your profile.

People would be more than happy to see it. or in the other hand, just as the above person says, "Nice story, who cares"
