Here are some main points of tips which can help you in searching right keyword...
    1 Determine your target audience
    2 Guess what they’re searching
    3 Make a keyword list
    4 Check search volume
    5 Check competition

The best option to select most targeted keywords is google keywords tool, you also can use wordtracker.com for the same. I mostly use https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer to get proper idea by just insert a word or URL of website.
    6 Make your final cut
these all steps are very important for searching right keyword..

Keyword research is a very important step for SEO. The best way to figure out which keywords to optimize would be to put yourself at the place of the user/client. What would he type as a search query to find you. Once you found which keywords are worth optimizing, use the the Google Adwords Keywords Tool (copy paste this in Google and it will appear) to get accurate stats on how many searches per month those keywords get both globally and locally.

I use the google adwords tool and have found it very effective. Once you have chosen your keywords, google them and it should give you a good steer as to whether they are going to be effective or not. It is also worth running a keyword density analysis check on the results, it will show you if you are in the right track, and may give you a whole new set of keywords you hadn't thought of.

If you really just starting up working, then looking at another’s experience and learning on it could be useful for you. For this aim should be suitable the tools of keywords research of your rivals, if you tell the theme of your site, it is possible to show on example, how it works on SemRush or SpyFu. Generally, find the closest rival and look, what keywords he uses and which advertisements he place in AdWords.
