    even if you rank well on yahoo you can't get alot of traffic on it.. coz' just like what Rejaulkarim there are less or no one use yahoo..

    generally peoples are using yahoo for mailing person stil 10% are people available who are using yahoo as a search engine.you must upload yahoo y-key in your header also you can post in yahoo buzz,bookmarking,video submission and many other activities for it.

    Google dominates 70% of all searches online the other 30% is a mix of all the rest of the search engines and yahoo only has about 20% of the market so all things considered its very difficult to get very high traffic from it.

    Yahoo is still used by some and is still considered a "big" search engine. Thus, if you place high on Yahoo (where both traffic BUT competition is lower) that can be good for your site.
    Definitely SEO and you can use a variety of search engines.

    Tho to get ranked and get approved by Yahoo takes time and effort. Their crawlers are slow and can take awhile; as well as being very picky.

    The thread just states Bing.com & Yahoo.com merging but failed. As well as Yahoo being down for that time being
