cool image rollover effect

Is it easy to do the rollover effect like this website www dot dcstrategy dot com dot au
where you see the small boxes below the large slideshow?
When you put your cursor over it the image rolls up and provides a 'read more' option.

    OR

even the one at www dot arrowenergy dot com dot au where the small images below
the main images has a pretty cool rollover effect.

Is that hard to program or is there software that can do this?

Or is it possible to have someone program it and provide the embed code to upload to my site?

That effect was most likely created with a flash software. Pretty simple to do. Creates a great effect.

Thanks for the response. When you say simple to do and can be done with software, are you able to elaborate.

I use a wysiwyg style website builder and I'd like to know if it's easy enough to have someone build something
like that and provide the code that I can cut and paste into the page.

Also is it possible to do using software that doesn't use flash? I want the search engines to be able to read
    it.
    Thanks.

schwarzes: I'm sure I could create rollover images using CSS but I truly don't know how. I was
hoping they'd be a simple software I could plug in and upload HTML but perhaps that isn't the case.

Have said that, how easy is it to get someone to code that in and then provide the code to load into my HTML editor?

things like that are cool but don't waste forever trying to do it, what is important is that your users are happy

    Hi Winx

Thanks for your comment. Yes I realise these things aren't the most important aspect
of a site but when a friend who you are trying to help out is making that his focus
it's hard to deny them as it makes them happy. If they're not happy then no-one
is...I guess. Some people are just hard to please !!!

Personally I prefer your idea and make sure the site works well and is attractive to the
search engines. I couldn't care less about the visual side.
