Again, this goes back if you have ample time to do seo (for a full time IM) OR you might consider a less time consuming work like feeds or submit to social media to increase PR

 

forums, blogs, blog commenting,social bookmarking,social networks. If you just started out then just be patient and make sure to have good keywords.

 

I mainly use forums, youtube and other social sites. Articles, blogs and bookmarking are also other good ways to help with getting traffic and ranking.

 

I am looking to do some google content network not google adwords
but the content network for traffic. I believe this traffic method is wide open.
Most marketers don't know that the google content network even exist.

Plus you can get alot more traffic from content network then you can from search.

 

Try building relationships with other bloggers by asking to interview them. Hardly anyone declines that way.
Afterward, consider asking them to post the interview on their blog and link to your website.
One website used to have a great forum for bloggers to network and cross promote, but unfortunately they got rid of that function.

 

I like having a link to my sites in my signatures on related, but non competitive forums, and posting actively there. Therefore people who like the site may join, without pissing off the people that don't.
I don't think submitting the site to directories will bring any human traffic, but it's worth doing it for the SEO alone.

 

Yes. I am starting out and having about just 4 hours before retiring to bed during week days would be useful to have an automated tool for social bookmarking and RSS feed or directories

I tried to make unique content and keep interaction between me and my blog's readers .
But I think traffic is not the most important , Conversion rate is what we need to think about . My friend has a blog with only 500 visits per day ,but his conversion rate is very high .

 

I read somewhere that if you need to concentrate on conversion rate, then you need to focus on buying people. But if you blog is focus on infoseekers, then you wont get good conversion rate. Thats what I think

 

Well, I use twitter, and forum signatures. I don't buy advertising.

Do you think that will actually work? Have you had any success doing so? Why would sites with similar niches want to help you...They will just look at your site as competition.

 

If you think that way, then there wont be any authority sites that creates values. When another websites links to your webpage, this will be used by the search engines to crawl and vote for your website popularity. If many links pointing to your webpage and the QUALITY of the links attract more good pages, then google will declare that your webpage as highly important thus resulting higher PR. The basic idea is - A few links coming from important quality pages is so much better compare to large amount of links from unimportant sites

 

Do interviews with established players in your niche.
Sponsor any podcasts/shows in your niche.
Start your own podcast about your niche.

 

Simply build quality backlinks or use a paid service

 

I use Press Releases and article marketing to get traffic. Also ranking for your chosen keyword in Google doesn't hurt either.
