Hello,

I've come across some sites that told me they would offer me a backlink
if I posted their link on my site. Is this true?

Is there any good way to build some quality backlinks quickly?

Web directories help you build backlinks quickly.
You can also buy backlinks, or place adds on diferent sites but ask it the adds will be rel nofollow or rel dofollow. In your case you should be intrested in rel dofollow

Well that is called a link exchange which is not so effective to build your backlinks. However if you wanna just increase the number of your backlinks, instead of quality, then you can go for it. Instead try to make some quality posts and comments in forums and blogs of your niche, which will get you backlinks quicker.
