Long tail Keywords OR Short tail Keywords

From what i can gather longtail is the way to go. Once we know which longtail keywords are successful we then go deeper using the successful keywords.

How many keywords should we be using for start up sites via PPC?

 

I agree long tail keywords has less competition and you can get good traffic using the long tail keywords! I suggest you start with the short tail keywords first see the results then make long tail keywords out of the ones that produce good traffic

 

Long tail keyword is good for your specific purpose, such as PPC if you need to scope down your customer, long tail keyword will be good for that purpose.

 

If the Keyword is unique then it also generate the traffic...

can you tell me what is the major difference between these two keyword.

A long tail keyword is a combination of 3-6 and it is prepare to show the relevancy of the product while short tail keyword contains 1-3 words.At the beginning,It is good to start with the long tell keyword because it helps to rank in the search engine.

 

For long tail keywords there is less competition so you can rank on the first page of Google for long tail keywords far easier than ranking for short tail keywords. Yes, they don’t bring a lot of traffic separately but if you target lots of long tail keywords you can get lots of easy traffic.

 

Yes absolutely ..if your site is new then use related long tail keywords first because it's some what easy to get ranking in Google rather then short tail keywords...So if you keep working on a long tail keywords for long time then automatically for short tails keywords you site will be ranked .
