The more the merrier! You can't really just use one method to promote your site. It's like taking a camera with only one lens into a forest and hoping to capture everything you see.

Yes, but on FaceBook you can create a fan page targeting a specific crowd, Facebook also has an automated ad creating system. This allows you to Target as many tags and specific groups as you want, and create as many ads as you want for how much you're willing to pay. Check out my Fan Page, click my like button, and then go set yours up because you should have already. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kyle-Holmans-Fan-Page/

Ok, now that everyone knows that Facebook is better, so what? Does it change anything? No. People will still use both, as will I. You are a fool to not use one just because you think one is better than the other.

Facebook and twitter both can give you much exposure to your websites if you use them the right way. By the way include Youtube also and you will be booming.

I cannot say which one is better because both are having different target users, both are having their different features and merits.

You have given answer to question yourself because both them have there own marketing ways..
and both of them are helpful if you properly do..

In twitter you can instantly find people what they are looking for but in facebook you need to pay for that for ads

So depends of marketing plan and what you want to promote.. sometimes facebook is good sometimes twitter
    is also good..

    Depends....

Having recently worked at a location that involved much interaction with young women, I can say that I never heard from a single one of them who used Twitter. Every one of them were accessing their respective Facebook accounts a dozen times a day!

It's absolutely astounding the kinds of personal information that people will post of their Facebook pages. Facebook is today's equivalent to yesterday's "knitting Circle" -- on steroids!

Yes, Facebook has great functions that made some business succeed in promoting like using fanpages and post with photos. Even live chat enables customers to talk with business owners.

I was never really a FaceBook or Twiter lover for marketing purposes anyways. Especially with the new FB page layout changes - I didn't even like the new layout. I feel they are both so over-hyped and they really only should merely be used as a brand awareness tool; but you shouldn't depend on them to increase your customer base per say or to even generate a consistent number of leads of conversions all the time. Check out this blog post that discusses whether social media marketing is even worth it or not.

Having a fan page on Facebook for instance, where comments are not responded to for weeks can do more harm than good to companies. There have been case where social media did do more harm than good to some very big name companies.
