While everyone is basically singing the same tune explaining how important link building is, allow me to keep this thread going by asking the question, "What methods of link building have worked for you in the past?" I'm all for manual posting of links (manual anything allows you the most user control, but what about various automated methods? There are things like Bookmarking Demon, but I have yet to check these out. Once I learned how to make money online, and what it takes, I find that manual is the most time consuming, yet it is the best way to keep track of everything. I don't buy in the "make money online niche" anymore, I sell in that niche, because most make money online niche selling products sing the same tune, and yet it is still one of the most searched for niches online.

 

Link building & SEO are like both side of a hand. Both are important.

Link building is the core part of offpage SEO. There isn't much to do outside link building in off-page SEO.

 

I would say Its Quality not Quantity. Even if you have less backlinks which are quality backlinks,it will surely increase your page rank and authority. one example is techlineinfo its has very less one way backlinks but its pr is 7 previously it was 6 . And traffic via backlinks is not only the way, to get traffic via search engines or organic you need to properly optimize your blog.Regular updation is required with the right title ,keywords etc.Internal linking play an important part in SEO

Content is definitely the king but without proper exposure and the right strategy all you hard work will go unnoticed

 

You also have to remember, that high PR websites carry more weight than low PR websites. So if we have the same type of website targeting the same keyword, I would get more traffic if I have 125 (PR 5-8) backlinks, then you would with 7000 (PR 0-1) backlinks. Keep this in mind. Not saying, that the 7000 backlinks are completely worthless, but don't just rely on that.
