POLL : MyBB Vs. Vbulletin

Miss ghazal, Are you in your sense? You are like a 7 year old kid who does not know what is the topic. LOL. Read the topic first and then reply and stop flaming mybb Staff any more.
I don't care whatever your concern with mybb staff, they are very helpful for me.

Really? Im "Tom K." on mybb, I was inspired to learn PHP because of MyBB, and have now written a dozen or so plugins. There are also authors like RPicard, querschlaeger, Darkly, frostschutz,euantor -G33K-,Simon S., Yaldaram, AJS... the list could go on. The only people that are damaging MyBB are people like you Ghazal.

 

If what you say is correct, which I disagree with, then you need to remember something. They are all human. If they did make a mistake no-one has the right to blame them, others, or their work because of it. However, I doubt that to be the case. I know you have a grudge against MyBB and the people running it. If this pleases you then I have no right to say it's wrong. But I will disagree. While I myself have resented some decisions the MyBB Team has made, I have never found them unfair. I want you to ask yourself something. Do you think you were treated unfairly? Honestly, did they do something that wasn't deserved?

Just think about that, and think about how you want people to think of you - as an immature kid, or someone who should be respected because of their accomplishments? If you want the first, then keep it up.

 

Al I know is that the MyBB site similar to mine always ranks higher than my vBulletin site when I do a search. That is even with the MyBb site not having much new content in over a year. There must be some SEO working better with the MyBB than vBulletin.

It's just vb is filled with unnecessary crap c'mon who would pay such amount when an equal good most importantly open source software is present ? Not me.

Not only is vBulletin so expensive, it's also filled with useless crap that only slow down the software. Besides, myBB is really customizable if you know what you are doing.

If you have money to buy go for VB , but if you havnt money MyBB is the best one

mybb is cheaper and better... i prefer mybb... polled it in.

 

When it comes to free ones, then I go with myBB. But if we talk about paid ones, VB all the way.

 

vBulletin. But as its paid forum software or among free forum software I prefer MyBB.

I just found this thread and I must admit to being more than a little surprised to see MyBB has a fairly substantial lead at 54.88% as I post this. If this were an American political race the winner (at this point) MyBB would be calling it a LANDSLIDE

 

Not sure if MyBB is free. But I think if you are just starting out, then any of the free softwares like PHPBB or SMF should do as good. The success of the forum is more about how the community interacts rather than how jazzy you can make it to be. Are we going to stop visiting DP if the forum software changes? I don't know.

In any case, I have not run many popular forums and so I guess my opinion needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

 

My vote goes for VB as we want to take the advantages of VB.
