Hey guys I was wondering if anyone does any search engine cloaking here? Ive read lots about it and ive seen people on google dominating niches and long tails with it. Ive been looking around for the best wordpress cloaking plugin because wordpress is simple to setup and so are plugins. Ive came across a few but wanted to know peoples input. Anyone doing this and is there one that you recommend that works well? Thanks
Cloaking in itself is a SEO black hat technique in which you present content to search engine spider that is different to the one visible on the website...
what is search engine cloaking? what do you mean? Do you mean link cloaking? be a nice kid, stay away from black magic as you could.
It may benefits you in short term, but it is against the TOS of Google saerch engine and they can give you sever penality.. I will suggest you not to follow this methos, instead focus on your seo work.
I agree with fdamours, a lot of these black hat techniques are continually being countered by Google and other search engines. Put on the white wizard hat bro
Clearly against Google ToS and will get you penalized or banned sooner or later. If you are a fly by night operation that will be gone in a few months or less, and you don't have any issues with deceiving your customers/readers then by all means, cloak away. Better approach is to CREATE (not copy or automate) some good content, get your real SEO squared away and work on legitimate relevant backlinks.
Cloaking is Not a good option If you client actually cares about their domain name, traffic and rankings. Once you get hit with a penalty for this you may never crawl out of Google Hell. Sure its 'black hat' but as far as being penalized and stuff go, with a good script it doesnt happen. I see guys cloaking that have had their sites up for over a year and banking hard. As long as it has a regularily updated IP base of search engines it last a while. Ive even seen simple doorways last a long time in some cases. Anyways, I found a nice wordpress plugin called wp shapeshifter and it does exactly what i wanted so thanks anyways guys.
