Hello, I know this is an old topic but I really want to know what some good search engines to submit my sites too. When I checked on my sites's stats, some clicks from Google, Yahoo, and msn. And, I don't get any click from other search engines like AOL, etc... What are Good search engines to submit websites? How often should I submit them to? Thanks.
just submit all SEngines I know 1 time for each site. I don't mind which SE send me traffic because I know Google will be the best traffic source
Google/Bing/Yahoo are the only main ones you should be concerned about if you are trying to market yourself to an English speaking audience. If it'd outside of an English speaking audience, you should concentrate on a search engine which is specific to the country you are trying to market yourself in.
Yahoo!search must take into account because its it usually index backlinks much easier than google. You can just check at siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com, it does can be used as your main target to increase your link popularity. Altavista also do the same think as yahoo.com in indexing backlins
just submit on the most common search engines, you will still have the rankings as long as the you do have quality backlinks and the content of your site is unique and great
Google, google, google, then maybe worry about the others. Thier market share is so large, worry about them first.
