hi hish !why does 502 Bad display so many times ?

 

Thing is that oron is heavily used for pron - I think of it as a ('the') pron host to be honest. A lot of people who download pron will have bought oron premium accounts because oron is pretty much unusable without one. So - it's not a surprise that oron is getting a lot of votes as people want to protect their investment.
Probably if this where a vote by affiliates only, then filesonic would be on safe ground, however since the vast majority of voters will be downloaders I have to fear the worst. The plain and simple fact is that downloaders don't like filesonic - presumably because of the difficulty a lot of people experience in downloading as a free user. The 502 gateway time out's, the uk isp thing, the downloads stopping before completing thing, dead servers, slow speeds even as premium, total lack of email support - all these and more have really 'hacked off' a lot of people for sure. One of the most common replies to my threads is "can you re-post on fileserve/rapidshare etc 'cos I can't download from filesonic" - makes you think eh ? (well it should).

I will be surprised if filesonic makes the top 5, but maybe they will be saved because pbb won't want to loose the ad revenue ? I guess we will see .......

 

Every time i log in i get this message.
Unexpected error during process Authentication: - No user found with such email.
I have followed the TOS and never abused the system. Whats going on?

 

very simple: somebody hacked you account or you posted some stuff that isn't tolerated by FS and your account has been shut down.

 

Do something Filesonic is on no 6 at PBB.vote for it before it gets banned

 

Not necessarily - this is a recurring bug. When Hish get's back he will no doubt fix it for you.

 

Frnds i am facing problem in remote uploading from filesonic to rapidshare i use syntax htp://username : password@filesonic but it wont work help me out plz

 

God, sometime the FTP system is driving me crazy... You have to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait.... I posted 20 files... 10 were transfered quick and the remaining 10 I have to wait and wait and wait and wait and I think I'm gonna kill myself if this isn't fixed

Oh and yeah... what means the status pending... like pending because other files are being transfered for the other users or what?

 

I have to agree with Just a Wag. While Filesonic is very popular with uploaders, it does get a LOT of negative comments/feedback from downloaders and that is a problem I really feel FS needs to address. The e-mail support is a joke. I've never gotten a reply to any e-mails I've sent and its only this forum that has helped resolve issues. i've also heard comments from downloaders that they've never gotten replies to their emails. And there is the constant complaint I've heard of people getting message of 'only 1 download at a time for free users' despite their not downloading anything or it just cycling the download button.
I like Filesonic but it does have some serious core issues and there does not appear to be anything being done about those. It has to be recognized that if people have BAD experiences attempting to download as a free user they are HIGHTLY UNLIKELY to buy a premium account. Earnings wise, i'm small potatoes but in the first three weeks of this year, I had 14 sales in 5 weeks, but only one in the last two weeks.... And despite my posting in more locations, downloads are not improving for me. I do feel there has to be more focus on an improvement in the basic service rather than more 'gimmicks' like Playsonic and the 'dashboard'

When I first noted the pornbb poll, Filesonic was 5th at 11%, just behind oron but ahead of Depositfiles and Fileserve. each at 8%. Sadly, it is now in 6th spot with 7% and barely ahead of filserve. Depostifiles and Oron are 4th and 5th with 11%. It does not look good.
Seeing as how many of the people who would be voting are DOWNLOADERS, I think this is some indication of the problems the masses have downloading through FS.

I hope things improve...

ftp has been sketchy for me as well over the last 3 days. some files go up smooth, some take hours (like 3 hours). I don't know the deal either

I have been having this problem for over 2 months now with FTP, but yes, even just uploading a single file on the site is problematic. I have been trying all day to upload just 1 video and have not had any luck.

but the FTP issue is completely different, and that is the issue I really need help with.

They are conducting a poll to determine which file hosts they will keep. They say they will allow the top five and ban the rest.
Unfortunately FS is a rather distant sixth....

How can we see referral link for file downloads, will be good to know from where i get most downloads.

 

I am having trouble again ... the bonus payout for last week (5-6 Feb) , i am able to see it my statistics page , but it did not get added to my Unpaid balance , nor am i able to see any link or button for the payout request !! This is the 2nd time am getting this...last week also i had the same problem , which Hish rectified...now again am having the same thing !!

I found that you support youtube in the Remote Upload User/Pass Manager, i entered my username and password but the remote upload is not working, i used the usernameass@http:// as well and the same thing happened.
It just upload a 120kb file called watch.
Another this i want to ask regarding remote upload from youtube, can i leech the HD version of the video or just the low quality vid?

 

Well, I would like to make more money by joining there. But it will take some times until i got prepared for that.
