Impact of Image in SEO

Hi, I have came to know that, there are good percentage of positive impact of using image in term of seo. Now, if I use same image with same alt tag in many pages, are thi is going to be good or bad?

yeah image are good seo. image name with keywords and alt tags help in generic traffic. but not for niche site. eg. if its about insurance , weight loss etc. people dont search for images. but if you are having info blog or magazine site. then its very helpful

If your website is mainly image, it's very good. I have photography blog, it's nowhere in web result, but in page 3 for image result and I'm getting approx. 300 UV's daily, 90% from Google Image Search

To my understanding image name and its alt text definatilly helps in seo

 

I think better to reduce the use of picture and images in website.

 

But how can I increase the rank of a picture ?

 

you can vary the keywords you used in your images so that it will not look spammy to search engines.
