oh man, changed hosts - wordpress blog question

    here's a good one. :)

bought an "established" blog (WORDPRESS) off someone a few months ago.
didn't have a CLUE how to use it - seriously - ZERO KNOWLEDGE about WP and blogs. ZERO.

    anyway...

the previous owner gave me time to find a new host - which i did.
    www.asmallorange.com

    so here's what i did:
downloaded ALL original files from OLD host.
set up my new hosting account, and JUST UPLOADED all the files.
    * manually (no fantistico, no nothing)

now, when i go to the site, i get a WP message that says something about maybe the wp-admin password has changed or something like that and something else about my host?

QUESTION: is this likely a "propagation" problem, and everything should be "all good" in the next 48 hours OR

do i need to do something (anything?) to get my WP site back up?

thanks for the help (in advance)

    blog = www.internshiphub.com

    THANKS :)

Did he gave you database dump (did you restored it on new server?)

Wordpress blog is wordpress files + database. When you migrate from one server you need to move the files and database to new server. Also when you move both files and database make sure the settings in wp-config.php are right for new server.

If the blog hasn't been changed too much (template),you could install the on your server and import the mysql .That's all.I just did it today.moved one of my blogs which was hosted on my friend's server to my owns.

Here is a pretty good tutorial on moving a wordpress installation to a new host.

    http://tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/move2/

The process isn't terribly difficult, however, could be beyond what a newbie may feel comfortable with.

Since you say you have ZERO experience with Wordpress, you may want to pay some one, possible the person that you bought the blog from, to help you move it.
