Big fluctuations in Google rankings

Seeing some big fluctuations in the rankings for many of the sites from yesterday second half. What you say is it Google Dance?

Please reply if you are also seeing something like that.

 

yes I am also seeing lot of flactuations. My rankings dropped for many sites.

same thing i am suffering from last two days.

 

I have just experienced a huge SERPS drop for over 150 of my keywords going from page 1 to page 5-10.

All was good this morning after running the usual ranking reports, and by 12am (English time), all my pages had dropped from 1st page.

Could it be Google Dance?

Does anyone have an explanation?

I am not panicking as yet but might well do if this stays the same for a long period.

 

I heard about Google dance, but is there any people who get up due to this dance or every one just down ? :s

 

From past experience and from what I have read on several forums, the google dance tends to start by lowering your SERPS and then getting back to a better position after a few days.

But I would be keen to hear from others who might have experience such a drop lately. Mine was so sudden. Reports this morning were really good, then 4 hours later huge Serps drop for all my pages (not just 1).

 

Not always that way.

 

Can you elaborate a bit or share your experience so that it can be useful to all of us....

 

Well, wasn't there an update on Google algorithm a while ago? Perhaps these new rankings have something to do with it.

 

One of my site's Ranking dropped from first page to second page. It was stable for almost 3 or 4 months. And My another site's ranking is also dropped to 9th position. Earlier it was on 5th position. Not a Big drop but I can see fluctuations and a loss of traffic..

If it ws related to the change in the algorythm, I think it might have hapenned there and then but my drop was significant and sudden (in just 3 hours).

Like I said, I am not panicking as yet, but quite nervous as this has a major impact on traffic and business. Dropping from 1st page to 5th in just 3 hours is quite worrying as you can imagine. But I shall wait a few days to see whether the site picks up again.

BTW the pages mentioned had been on page 1 for a significant amount of time.

 

Well, for me, I think it's algorithm changes, but also, I see the changes going back and forth, so I'm not sure if they're just testing, or really putting in new changes. I've had a few sites that went out completely, and came back in, but they're staying in now, so I guess we'll see.

 

I haven´t noticed big changes in SERPS results so far today...

 

Check some of google datacenter, if you see different results then probably it's the google dance. Just relax, wait for a couple days.
