I have recently created a new forum for aviation http://avaition-forum.com I would like to know your honest feedback and opinions about the site and what I should do to improve it.

The color scheme and layout of the forum is excellent on the eye. Very sleek, and professional. The only thing I would change is your logo to make it more professional, thus keeping the whole branding of your site professional. PM me if you want help redesigning the logo.

Can someone help me with adding borders or lines to each forum name. Will it look nice with borders or is it good just the way it is?

I like the color scheme but your logo doesn't match the style of the site and lines to divide the topics would make it easier to tell topics aparts.

Who are you targeting with this forum? There are so many departments, it's easy to get lost.

I am targeting different fields in the aviation industry such as pilots, engineers, cabin crew. Yes I have made www.aviation-forum.com as detailed as possible because I wanted to cater to all the related fields catering to that subject. Even I had the same feeling that new-comers might get lost when they just join the site but in a visit or two you will be able to easily find where everything is located.
    Thanx for your reply Jeff

the design is good, i even like the live news feed on the top page it give me a feeling as if i'm at the airport departure terminal. "Attention passengers due to heavy snow weather conditions your flight to Toronto will be cancelled!!!" lol. However it needs more content, it would never be called the biggest aviation forum if you have categories whose post counts is at zero.

Thank you gamblinglord for your honest review. I am working hard on developing new content for my site, but as I am the only updater on my site at present it is really tough to update so many sections on my own. Like for example the job sections, I have categories for pilots, cabincrew, engineers jobs with countries from all over the world. It becomes really difficult to search for jobs and post them individually. I am looking for a automation process in which I can find a jobs and post them automatically as posts but I have no idea how to create it. The only reason I say it is the biggest Forum is that there are so many sections related to aviation over here which you will not find on any other related forum.

i perfectly understand how you feel because i know a lot of forum owners who are struggling to have their forum website populated with content and members. Try leveraging your time so that you could gain more with your forum website. Just hang on and enjoy the journey you will achieve your intended goals for your forum.
