    Hi ..

I have a webmaster blog with almost 250 registered webmasters ..

Do you think that beginning an email marketing campaign a good idea ?

do you think 250 people may make some money ? or shall I wait longer ?

    Thanks

I'd probably work at getting the mailing list increased before I concentrated on starting to sell. You can still make money off 250 people, but you can earn 10x more if you get your mailing list up to 2500.

What you should have done first is have a autoresponder sequence in first. That way you don't really have to worry about mailing them. But what you want to do is start emailing them right away because if you wait for a long time, let's say one month and start emailing, they're going to forget who you are. Just give them some good content. Since you have a blog, write some content and email them about it. You can probably do a content/slash sale at first and when you have good relationship with your list, you can probably hard sell them. Most of the time, marketer's mail out nothing but offers after offers. Don't be scared to sell to them. That's what a list is for, to make money.

Here's a suggestion - plug Feedburner into your site. It will automatically email your subscribers when you add a new post to your blog so you don't have to. It's also sent out from Google, so it's whitelisted pretty much everywhere. As your subscriber base grows, you can even put adsense into the emails that go out and get some money from it.

Once you feel you've gotten a big enough base of people following you, it's really easy to export your list from feedburner and import it into an actual email marketing platform.

Going this route gives you an immediate short-term way of keeping in touch, and lets you easily expand into bigger email campaigns.

    Hi,
Feedburner is a great tool and I am using it myself. Not everyone though is signing up to the feed. I believe it is a great way trying to get your customers on your list as soon as possible and start the communication. The money is in your list.. Aweber is a great tool for mail auto-responding...:p

It is sensible to start marketing to this set of 250 subscribers. However, the mails should not only be marketing, it would be better to share information with reference to the source (that you want to market).. these users will at least not unsubscribe as they would be getting useful info along eachtime..

I would wait till 1000 build and feed your list great info and content and try some serious email marketing when you hit 1,000
