    Hello,

Let's assume i have a banner posted on some site (and the banner points to my own online shop).
How can i track how many people that come to my site after they clicked that banner turn into customers?

Since you are in the 'Google Analytics' section of the forum, I assume you have already put Google Analytics on your website. If not, go to their page and the setup is fairly straightforward - just copy-paste some code into your site's HTML.

Once you have it, go to the 'Traffic Sources' section (on the left), and this will tell you where all your traffic is coming from.

I'm not sure that anyone here has answered the question that I am also interested in.

The OP wants to know if you can track how many people have signed up after clicking on a banner - does anyone know?

To track conversions, you must set Goals first.

Just what the others have said, add a Goal conversion funnel in your Google Analytics profile. Set your a goal funnel from your banner (or whichever page you want to set) up to your goal page (normally, this would be your contact us page or the thank you page whenever a customer does a successful transaction) and then you would be able to see how much conversions your banner converts to your website.
