    illustrator Cs4 or Cs5 would make it even better ..
    but with photoshop , you'll need to creat an ellipse (U) add gradients ( transparent >> white )
    place it on the head , then low down the opacity to 30% or 20% .. that would work perfectly .. and it will give you this glossy effect .. good luck ..

    yes, you definetely should google glossy effect or go over to youtube and watch some glossy effect photoshop tutorials. You can also go to deviantartDOTcom and search for photoshop templates glossy effect and adjust it to your need! hope i could help!

    It is as simple as searching for glow effects on google, or even youtube.

    You mainly need to play with white/transparent gradients, belnding modes and opacity ;).

    Photoshop - Paths, gradients, and layer styles. Thats all! Trial and error . Make your own style. oh yeah opacity no greater than 20% for the light.

    i think you can also use illustrator to create such a logo like that....also i think it is the best using vector software to create any logo. So you don't need to worry if you need to resize your logo later.
