The referrals are pretty difficult to convert effectively unless you have a site based on related content. For example with a software review site you could write a review of each product and then place the referral button on the same page.

You don't need that many referral buttons. I doubt you'll make even 1% of what you'd make if you have ads there instead.

did you view your site with Firefox, it kinda messed up. And try to place only on of the referral pre page, and have some adsense.

You know i've been told its messed up, but when i use it with my firefox it looks fine. I will go to another computer see whats wrong with it.

Maybe adding some complementary text on the side to the video games about software and then place the referral, would that be off place??

I don't use referral buttons these days, because sometimes Google doesn't pay for those

    that's right...

EDIT: Just realised what I wrote, actually I don't mean Google don't pay, but rather their payout criteria is too low.

ive never had a problem with google "not paying" for referrals. maybe the people that clicked them were outside of the $1 areas.

i do very well with referrals, mostly for Firefox..
Like Crusader said, dont just lay the buttons down - you gotta hype 'em up a bit.. write a review, explain why your visitors NEED those products.. just be careful not to directly tell them to click or download the products..

    Here are my tips:
    - only show 1 referral button at a time
    - rotate between different products
    - rotate between different variations of a button: colour, text, language
    - don't show Firefox ads to Firefox users

You could use is_gecko javascript function, but that will count any browser using Gecko engine in too.

    Peace,
