    Hello everyone. I need a logo for a company that I've started, and I'll pay $50 to the designer that comes up with the best design within roughly 72 hours.

    Districtsoft is a company that makes software for school districts, such as student management systems, grade books, document management systems, and much more.

    Here are the rules:

    The contest will end at approximately 9:00 PM EST on Saturday, February 5th, 2011.

    I will send the winner $50 via PayPal.

    The design should be 100% original work - no clip art or designs "borrowed" from the web.

    The winner should provide finished vector artwork as an .ai or .eps file.

    The logo should look good on white and dark backgrounds.

    The logo should include the word "Districtsoft"

    The logo should make people think of schools, students, or education.

    The logo should be as simple as possible, and should be well suited to conversion to a 16x16 icon.

    I was working with another designer on this forum, but I haven't been able to reach him in a while. He came up with the logo below for me, but it's too similar to another logo and I need something different.

    Hello everyone. Thanks for your entries. So far I like Dakouten's and jardo's designs the best. However, most of the submissions seem to be variants of the design that I originally posted. I was hoping that there would be some really unique entries.

    After careful consideration, I still can't decide between crowquill's design and Dakouten's design, so I'm going to declare this a tie! I'll pay for both of the designs.
