    Hi all,

I am new to web development and specifically need some help with checking that the code is "crawl" friendly.

If someone can have a quick peak at www.exceptional.net.au and give me some pointers that would be great.

I just want to make sure that the site can be easily indexed by the major search providers.

    Cheers

By and large your site looks good for SEO and crawl friendly to me. Obviously services and clients sections don't go anywhere yet ;)
    Just a couple of pointers:
    - Your <H1> tags have a <p> and <font>tag within them... h1 should be styled really
    - Your title tags have a lot of uppercase words and sounds like you're shouting - wouldn't look too user-friendly in SERPS
    - Your description has your keywords listed rather than being something well written to encourage click through... remember that description does not have any influence in terms of ranking.

    Thx for that tomelliot.

Its the css styling that causes me the most headaches. Is the <H1> issue all that major or do you think I can get away with it?

Yeah the title tag is something I am working on. The domain owner wants some stuff like that captialized in order to draw attention, but I agree that it is a bit too close to a shout. So I think I will just change it seeing as I know I need to reduce the character count anyway as it is up over 80.

The discription field change sounds easy enough so I'll do that first.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks ameerulislam10.

I will check those out now. I with this help I can fix the issues, it is just a matter of my experience in server/domain rather than development and protocols. Coupled with the fact I am doing my Diploma in IT, that makes for a big work load. So I am learning development as I go.

Again thx for those links I am sure these are going to be invaluable for a long time to come.

    Cheers

Hey what do you guys think, I got this thing as a templete, some of the crap wrong with it is the templete and now I have to fix it. So I am justified in pulling the guys name off it cause it is rubbish, yeah?
