1and1 VPS VS GoDaddy VPS which should I get?

I need a VPS and I am stuck choosing between 1and1 and godaddy. Both are the exact same price for the baseline VPS $29 a month. I will be getting SSL as well. What do you recommend ? I have always been on a shared server so I know nothing about VPS.

    1and1 definitely.

GoDaddy is a really bad webhost.

Are their VPS, managed or self managed? If you know nothing about VPS, you should get one that offer a managed service.

There are various VPS options available in the market for around $15-20 a month, you may want to look at that :)

    1and1 is better than godady.
But you can consider others also like: vpslatch etc. I have read many good review about vpslatch at WHT forum.

I agree with going for 1and1 hosting as Godaddy seems to lack in some departments. The only thing I do with them is domain names. Although I'm considering moving to Namecheap from now on.

Why consider only these two? I would look into the market a little more before settling on one.

I did not recommend you use any of them.

Since you don't have experience in VPS, I would suggest you use managed VPS such as from vpsnoc dot com

I hate 1and1, they screwed me over so many times (auto-renews, annoying cancellation processes, etc..).

I would go with godaddy 1000000% (that's one million percent lol)

Actually, I only have one domain on godaddy. I guess you can look into alternatives. I would suggest away from 1and1 tho.

I haven't used them myself (yet?), but I've heard only good things about WiredTree. If I do need a VPS, they are the first place I will be looking.
